Isn't the idea to get more people involved in the voting process and have people interested in our political system? Isn't the goal to get as many people to vote in the Presidential race and/or other votable issues?
Then why are the officials scratching their head and reporting "unless you declare your affiliation, your vote will not count". What's the purpose of this declaration? Ok, I know why but it still is stupid and pisses me off. Here's a clue, don't require people to check which affiliation and handle the primaries a different way. I realize it is state by state but our dumbass state does it this way then all over the news the concerns about people's votes not counting. Well dumbshits change the system so people are excited about getting their vote to count not be dumped.
Just drives me nuts that these elected officials can't figure out a good process and mix it all up where nobody can figure what is going and pretty much give up on the system. Get it together and fix this primary versus caucus bullshit as well. Good thing they don't handle our money, oh wait, they DO!
