We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.
Helen Keller (1880 - 1968)
With the unfortunate events in our life as of late it brought me pure joy to see the pure joy on my wife's face last night as we attended the Celine Dion concert. I purchased the tickets last year and presented them as Julie's Christmas present so she has been waiting 10 months to see one of her favorite performers.
I must say I did enjoy myself but I'm sure our faces had total different visions when Celine walked out onto the stage. Mine I'm sure was "this is cool" and "my ass hurts sitting on this bench" but the joy in Julie's face was worth the wait and worth the sore rump!
We will need to be be brave and patient for my father over the next few months but there always is time for the joy in the world.
