In the movie Up! I am told that there is a dog that seems to lose focus whenever a squirrel is nearby. My friend refers to me this way when telling a story or joke and I'm sure you can see it in my writing. But, like the dog, I can get back on track and continue on my mission, now if you don't follow the track, I can't help you there.
All fun and games unless you encounter the dangerous squirrel people. The dangerous squirrel people are like the one I encountered the other day. I was traveling West up a 45 mph 3 lane road, 2 West and 1 East. I catch in my eye ahead some emergency lights coming East around the bend. At the same moment I see those lights I see the car in front of me with heavy lights and moving at an odd angle towards the shoulder. I soon realize we are not coming to a gradual pull over and stop but a slam on the brakes and see what happens stop.
As I observed the situation that almost caused me to slam into the car in front of me and me being a Hummer sandwich, it is apparent that this was all caused by the car just ahead of the one in front of me. When they saw the emergency lights, Wham!, they slammed on their brakes, not gradual, but s seat belt check stop. So this car (dog), panicked when they saw the lights (squirrel) and decided that it would probably be best to allow the medic an additional 6 feet immediately almost putting us (meaty bone) in a 3 car pile up.
It should be a gradual stop not panic, think about your actions and how they affect others. In this case we all survived without incident, although maybe the chain reaction caused cars further behind me issues? Don't know, just as that person would have never known if they affected our lives with their panic.
