I have collected penguins or have been a fan of penguins (wonder if they have their own facebook page?) since I was a young kid, not kidd, just kid. Anyways, my daughter Chelsea likes and to collect giraffes. I was thinking what do you call a group of giraffe? I thought giraffes would make sense but I know groups of animals are called by a different name. I personally think giraves sounds awesome but I was wrong once again. I have found a few different names herd, group, corps, troop, stretch and tower. How confusing, why so many names for groups of animals? Someone must have had too much time on their hands and wanted to confusion the whole herd of us, probably those damn penguii! Don't even get me going on what we call the animal's young. Below are some of the interesting animal group names I found, check out the group of baboon, that sure explains our Congress!

pig: drove, litter, drift, flock, hoggery, herd, sounder
pigeon: flight, loft, flock, dropping
pony: string
porcupine: prickle, family
snail: escargatoire, rout, walk
tortoise: creep
