Wrong Way Drivers

At least in the PNW I have read more stories it seems as of late of fatality accidents on our freeways that involve a driver going the wrong direction. We need step up the on-ramps or really off ramps and how they set up.

I think we should install those one-way spikes that you see commonly at airport, car rental agencies, Brooks home, etc. The ones that you can go one direction, if you are going the wrong direction then your tires will be punctured.

It will stop the wrong way vehicle or at least slow it down considerably. If the person is drunk or confused where they are going more than likely that will stop them. If the person is suicidal there is only so much anyone can do but it would sure slow them down and possibly bring their vehicle to a halt.

If that doesn't work, lets hire a bunch of cardboard sign holders and position them at every off ramp with remote control spike strips that shoot out of those water barrels. That would be cool.
