Another example, I'm sure there are many, where the WASL caters to a certain way children learn, retain and test. You cannot expect all children, or even adults, to digest the same way and produce the same, it's just not possible. The WASL brags about how it measures how the message is delivered then why hold a "real" diploma over the head of a child that struggles or any child in that matter? Why don't they put the teachers on a test and if they don't pass they need to go back to school? Seriously, it's just a way to shift the responsibility from the teacher/school district to the child and the child gets penalized. Wake up people and open your eyes to the kids that don't fit in a box.
