Gas Excuse #101

I have heard the gamut of excuses because gas prices are too "high". Today I read that students at one of the community colleges are forced to miss school because it is just too pricey to drive to school. Give me a break. Why don't you cut your text messaging package, drink water instead of a latte before school or cut many of the extras that we get in life. I got more solutions, carpool, walk, ride the bus, think outside the box or you will have a box on the corner. (If any homeless people are reading this, nothing against your profession)

The colleges are now jumping on board, thinking about cutting school down to four days a week. Wonder if the instructors/professors will go for that? Gee, I just wonder? Let me see, pay me just as much to work four days a week instead of five, yeah I think I will go for that.

High gas prices do not excuse priorities in life, suck it up and get to school. Remember why you're in school? Would you be able to skip work because it's just too expense to get there?

Is this the same guy who hates the WASL? Compassion only when you want to give it?

Yes and it. Attending school and doing something for the right reasons has nothing really to do with WASL. WASL can be a good thing if it is used correctly. Use it to measure the teacher's performance AND adjust the tests to DIFFERENT ways children learn. WASL is just another EXCUSE for teachers to not be accountable to RESULTS, so my comments are even more confirmed. TEACHERS and STUDENTS should not use WASL or GAS to give them an out of what morally needs to be done.
