I heard something the other day that cracked me up. This guy was talking about the evening newscast and mentioned that he thought it was funny how everyone gets somewhat pissed at the weatherman for the poor weather forecast.
"Rain most likely (we hear that a lot in Seattle) this weekend and temperatures will drop below seasonal averages"
The response back from the anchor was so simple but so true, now that I pay attention to it. "Thanks a lot Jim" as they roll their eyes with disgust. Jim standing there like schmuck thinking, "hey I don't make the weather I report it".
I mean would it make sense to reverse the tables?
"Today a man stormed the courtroom and opened fire on the unsuspecting defendant".
"Thanks a lot Sharon, way to go" sheesh as I get a sour look on my face. Like she stormed the courtroom herself!
Sportscaster gets the shaft when the home team loses. Again, other than the Seahawks, we get that A LOT up here.
Everyone loves the people helpers and especially the "consumer guy".
