Critical Mass--Bikers Have Anger Problems

Recent events in Seattle, propel my opinion of bicyclists and their attitude towards the rules of the road. Not only the rules of the road but rules in general.

I'm not against people riding bikes but it just infuriates me that some have no problem holding up traffic on roads created and paid for by taxpayers for motorized vehicles and blowing stop signs left and right.

Back to the recent Critical Mass ride in Seattle. A motorist was trying to pull out of a parking spot and could not do so due to bicyclists blocking his way and sitting on his car. He tried to back up and bumped a biker, so then the group started hitting his car, breaking the rear and front window. He finally made it down the road a bit and was attacked again by the mob, one biker punched him through the window, as he got out he was hit from behind with an unknown object.

If you try and find a "mission" of Critical Mass, good luck, there really isn't any agenda only to meet and ride. What I find humorous or disgusting is Critical Mass was originally set up to show solidarity towards the cities and their unfriendly laws towards bicyclist.

So, the moral of the story, fight unfriendly laws with unfriendly violence. Good job Critical Mass, that's a good way to draw attention, idiots.

Find a trail and stay on it.

You are so right Michel. I love the way they blow off stop signs and have full rights to the road but never get cited for their traffic offenses. Double standard here. We, (car drivers),would never get away with the blown stop sign. I hate them on the roads and they are a problem. Always holding up traffic and generally in everyone's way. Seems to me that if the car driver has to go into the oncoming traffic lane to get around a slow biker, that road should be off limits to them. But, who am I, just another citizen that has no rights....blah, blah, blah.
Nice to see you back on the blog Mike. You were truly missed and I look forward to all of your bitches and complaints. Keep em coming Buddy!
