I know I'm getting old when.......I

go to the movie and teenagers are obnoxious. The last two times I have been to the movie with my son Bailey I have ended up telling some group to either be quiet or get off the phone.

1st time:

2 boys come in 15 minutes late and sit a couple seats away from me. They are talking a bit but that isn't bugging me yet. The kid closest to me has his cell phone go off. First I think you really should shut your phone off then...............he answers the phone and engages in a conversation. His buddy then starts to text message, so the glow of the phone is lighting up the bald head of the guy in front of him and shining in my eyes (and yes it's bounces off my folliclied (note a word) challenged head as well). I look over there and say "you need to get off the phone". The kid that is texting just looks at me and the one talking continues to talk. Now I'm ticked, I slap the seat next to me lightly, sorta, and say again "you need get off the phone or leave". Of course they chuckle sarcastically but shut it down. No other problems and the movie goes on.

2nd time:

Last night, my son and I are watching a movie and about an hour and a half later a boy and girl come in, yes I said an hour and a half, and cross in front of us. The girl acknowledges me by saying "wuz up". I just stare at her with just vacant thoughts. The two immediately start talking and giggling to the point my son moves a few seats down and gestures that they are talking and he can't hear the movie. I put up with it for about 10 minutes. Contemplating whether or not I want to have my ass kicked I just can't hold back. I lean forward over the lovebirds and asked "can you be quiet please?" The guy says "sorry dude, I didn't see you back there" instead of ignoring that white lie I respond "I've been sitting back here the whole time". They stopped and at the end of the movie he put his hand out and apologized.

The point of the story is if I am in the theatre and I have spent that much money on a movie that I don't know how good it is, or flick gambling, shut your phone and trap. You paid that good money too, respect other people and enjoy the show.
