McCain's Pal

I like the selection by McCain to offer Palin the VP spot. I don't necessarily think it is a tit for tat choice but a choice that well rounds the Republican ticket. McCain is old we all know that, he needed to get a young face in there to appeal to the younger voters. Of course picking a female will gain him some votes as well. I think Sarah is more valuable then some (democrats) are giving her credit for. Right now we need to get a handle on our energy resources and remain focused on our family values at the same time protecting the environment. I think Sarah may be that soft rounded approach that John and we need. Here's a little bio on Pal:

Under her leadership, Alaska invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program that provides support for low-income older Alaskans. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure, and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.During her first legislative session, Governor Palin’s administration passed two major pieces of legislation – an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws and a competitive process to construct a gas pipeline.Governor Palin is chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multi-state government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She was recently named chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which is charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management. Prior to being named to this position, she served as co-chair of this committee

Granted, Alaska was in need of leadership when she stepped in but at least she has some balls to take on the big boys and get the job done. I don't believe McCain made his choice on the "way the old boys used to do it" where you get a beauty queen in there to sway some votes. Hopefully people will do a little research.

Also, Corey was a correct, Tina Fey is a dead ringer and soon will be back to SNL I'm sure! How could we go wrong?
