Yes, I even have a problem with pairs, of course I like the fruit but.......
Why do we call underwear, a pair of underwear, I wear only 1 at a time. Pair of pants, I can live with as there are 2 legs to every one. What about a pair of scissors? Does a parrot count in this whole debacle? In trucking we talk about a set of doubles, really we are saying a set of 2 trailers but think about it, a set of doubles would actually be 4 trailers which is not legal?
Anyways, off to get my coffee, I'm sure I will find other things that just don't make sense on my adventure.
